  Dec 2009 Update

On November 25th, we played our 18th anniversary show at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach. Thanks to everyone to who came to see the show! We had a blast. It was great to celebrate with you all. What a fun way to lead into Thanksgiving weekend. Also we'd like to thank to Skanic and High Tide for playing.

In other news... We are playing on Friday, December 18th with the Aquabats! Looking forward to what is shaping up to be a really fun show at the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. Also playing that night is Supernova. Hope to see you there...

  KNITTING FACTORY

On October 23rd, we are playing at the Hollywood Knitting Factory with Let's Go Bowling, See Spot and the Chris Murray Combo. Sadly, the Knitting Factory in Hollywood is shutting the doors of its current location. Hopefully they can find a new home in L.A. soon! We've playing many fun shows at The Knitting Factory over the years with great bands such as VGS, Deal's Gone Bad, The Toasters and Los Kung Fu Monkeys.

  San Francisco & San Jose

In April, we played 2 really fun shows in Northern California. Friday Apr 24th we played at the Blank Club in San Jose with the SF area band Monkey. They played an awesome, tight set and any lovers of trad and 2 Tone SKA sound should check out their latest release "Lost at Sea". Sat Apr 25th we played at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco with Monkey and Dan Potthast. Once again it was a blast! It was great seeing Dan, who we've known for 15 years since our first national tour with MU330 in 1994. Dan had plenty of funny stories and his new band features Matt, the original sax player from MU330. Definitely check them out!

  SKA is DEAD IV

Our first shows in 2009 were with The Toasters and Voodoo Glowskulls on the annual Ska is Dead tour. We played six shows in: Anaheim, Victoville, Tempe, Las Vegas, Hollywood and San Diego. We had a great time. It was really fun to see The Toasters, VGS & Deals Gone Bad play top notch sets every night! You should check out "The Ramblers" by Deals Gone Bad - their amazing new release.

  Rancid!

Our final show for 2008 was supporting Rancid at SOMA on Dec 6th. Those guys are super cool and we are very grateful and very stoked that they invited us to play a few shows with them over the summer. Next time we play a show with Rancid, Tim might come up on stage with us to play Sound System! That would be off the hook! Here's a clip from the El Paso show LA River
